I hope they introduce Sunset’s Human Counterpart as a villain, but a villain who is perfectly fine with their role in life and are completely unapologetic and unrepentant of the way they are.
 
Some people choose to be the way they are, even if others don’t like it, and if they keep going around “redeeming” everyone it’s going to start to look like “Friendship” is this conquering force, and that if people don’t like the way you are, they can force you to change.

Which is even worse IMO. I like Starlight, but wont feel the same way about an (potential) OC-insert characterisation of her human counterpart.

Then why include her? Regardless of how you feel about her, human Starlight isn’t the same character as pony Starlight, and might as well be a new character as far as the narrative is concerned.

TBH, I wouldn’t mind Pony Starlight talking shop with Sunset given their similar backstories; but can see how that would come across as a slap in the face to those of us whom want Sunset to return to Equestria (temporarily) in order to bring closure to that part of her backstory.
