That doest seem too far fetched to release a trailer 3 months before the movie release.For me,the dates add up
“Promotions” means advertisements, not trailers.
This girl on twitter was at the Hasbro toy fair and she said they talked about promotions for the movie starting on Friendship day (July) that means TV spots, Trailers, Social Media Posts, and Billboard signs. I could be wrong because a lot of people say her sources are incorrect, but I hope it’s true otherwise if they release a trailer in august, then the movie will do poorly

They said it was on Friendship Day,so it’s either the American one (30 July) or the international one (first Sunday of August therefore 6 Sunday)
