  Celestia didn’t say when she had lost touch with the elements of harmony. But she said that after her connection to the elements is gon. The spell holding Discord weakened. If Celestia had lost touch with the elements right after her sister’s expulsion. Discord was to be released much earlier. This only confirms my theory.

   3 & 4. What I meant by that is getting rid of the Sun and Moon sisters completely undermines the whole theme of harmony. Celestia only used the EOH once by herself and they turned to stone. It’s even stated she could never use them again because the harmony between her and Luna was broken. The rest youre stating is pure head-canon.
    
3. I’m not going make any more comments. My final thoughts are that this shouldn’t follow government thoeries, it’s a fantasy setting. It’s supposed to be more akin to the council of Gods so common in mythology than real world politics.
