He was handled differently, not better. He got more screen time, more time with Twilight, and we learned more about him. But a lot of his interactions with her seemed a bit force to me, he started hitting on her from the moment he first saw her, and he didn’t really contribute to helping solving the problem with his sister(He actually kind of made things worse and acted like he helped)  
I feel the same about him as I first felt with Flash: He’s not much, but I’d like to see more of him so he can be developed better.
