I will admit, there have been times when recent episodes have done shot like that. I hated Honest Apple.

This is dull, unimaginative bait, but honestly A Royal Problem was the only time I felt the same way watching this show as I did during season 2.
 
A Royal Problem reminded me what it was like to watch a funny, well paced episode where you learn more about the characters and they develop, and they don’t go OOC or act stupid or whatever to draw out the episode conflict

Yes, there’s a lot of people making a lot of complaints. To me, nearly all of those complaints fall into one of three groups: stuff that strikes me as exaggerated or outright false (usually from the aforementioned haters and neighsayers), stuff that just doesn’t bother me as much as it does some others, or stuff I also noticed when watching and which has already shaped my opinion of the episode. It’s rare that someone brings up a problem with an episode that I didn’t notice that changes my opinion, and there’s been maybe once or twice that it’s changed my opinion more than, say, 1 point on a 10-point scale.
 
Are there episodes I don’t like? Sure. Are there changes that I think could have gone better? Of course. But I’ve never expected the show to be perfect; heck, I don’t think there’s been a time when I would have considered it the best cartoon on the air. Even so, as long as it features characters I enjoy spending time with, having adventures that are reasonably well-written and creative, in a setting that’s fundamentally optimistic and warm-hearted, I’m happy. Even if we never get a Celestia episode beyond the two co-starring ones we got this season.
 
So go ahead and “play” at being a hater all you want; I’m just enjoying the ride.

If you mean minority as in “people who hate the current seasons”, you clearly haven’t been reading enough comment sections.

You forgot to mention that I’m the only one who seems to be aware that Season 8 will contain MORE of the stuff that people hate about the current seasons, and yet people are excited for it anyway.

Not only that, based on comments here and elsewhere, he seems unable to distinguish between people saying something could be better and saying it’s bad, thinks if people dislike even one aspect of a character/episode/season it means they hate the whole thing, and believes if a group of fans wants something to happen in the show then they won’t like the show until it does happen. Not to mention the fact that he claims to like the show but posts endlessly about how bad it is, because the other people who have done so ended up souring his view of the show and the fandom, so he wants to try to that to other fans himself.

Most of the commenters like these more than the canon versions, and whenever someone points out that the canon versions have symbolism that the fanmade ones removed, someone else replies that the symbolism doesn’t matter if the colors look cluttered and ugly.

I genuinely like the current seasons. It’s everyone else who hates them, and they make such valid points that I feel like the show isn’t good from an objective point of view. The current seasons are basically a guilty pleasure for me for that reason.
