It’s been a very long journey for this brave explorer; many sleepless nights, homesickness and a considerable amount of loneliness. Fortunately the native species whose planet she landed on was quite welcoming. And hey, it didn’t hurt that she wasn’t picky about where she satiated that need for touch she had for so long.

maybe it scanned a good spot to land from orbit and used advanced teleportation tech or some kind of gravity engine to land there plus this looks like a simple lander vehicle there might be a bigger travelling ship in orbit that the lander can attach too. but if you ask me I think we’re looking to deep into unimportant details instead of focusing on what the art is trying to say. its the idea that this person has traveled in space for a very long time alone and desperately needed affection from another after being alone for so long. then she found pinkie and probably got afraid of the big fuzzy equine creature. but then pinks probably sensed her fear and tried to assure her that she ment no harm and just wanted to be friends. the space wonderer probably got overjoyed of this revelation and hugged pinkie out of pure joy and happiness with pinkie all happy to oblige. so touching :3

How did that spacecraft land on Equestria without a heat shield? Or a parachute? I suppose it could have made a powered descent from orbit, but that implies an incredible level of technology to fit it all into that tiny package. The thrust, ISP and delta V requirements would be staggering. Maybe the fuel tanks were ejected on the way down. I assume the pilot intends no return journey. Best to radio ahead and warn folks where those tanks were coming down…
