Flash tried to flirt with Twilight when she, Sunset and Starlight came to visit the crystal empire only to find her gaze and mind not on him but on the newly returned Unicorn, Sunset. He is a bit surprised but he soon accepts is and is the one to push Twilight in to actually asking Sunset out.

I never really liked Flash and Twilight together, but I do see them keeping close and being friends.
