Even just the shells!
American trench raiders equipped with shotguns were so effective with terror tactics that the Germans stated that any soldiers they captured wielding shotguns would be put to death.
Didn’t know, that’s actually pretty badass.
I believe the Great War was the first time shotguns were ever used in widespread combat, (Much to germany’s anger.) So excuse them if they were innacurate.
just to let you know shotguns are incredibly inaccurate and the main reason the trench shotgun was even used was to shoot grenades being thrown over to the trench.
Hard was honestly easy once you got the hang of it. I just crept into one room and let them come to me… there’s no challenge in that. I wanted an actual fight.
The campaign felt way too short for me, even on the hardest difficulty. The only codex from the campaign that I had trouble with was the shoot down ten aircraft in thirty seconds on Forte et Fidele.
I know! I had to have played each campaign AT LEAST 6 times.
That’s part of why I liked the game. Sure the combat was nothing like the great war, but I loved completing weapon codex assignments to get the history behind the weapon I am using. Not only did it make me search for entries outside of the game, but it also pushed me to get good at this game.
I really liked it’s little factoids/
As far as historical goes, yeah it missed by a large margin. Having said that, I would never have known much about the great war if it wasn’t for this game.
I’ve taken to calling them “Gamble-guns”
I don’t exactly know what you’re talking about, but I agree… Shotguns in video games are a bit BS because of their spread… Any real-life shotgun is FAR more accurate than game shotguns.
I’m still mad Serbia isn’t in it.
