This actually does make sense considering the dramatic position change of her hair if you look in the back when it’s normal and as Zapp. People are now somehow under the influence that she’s wearing… extensions? I mean, most of the stuff in this cartoon is magic, so I’m not sure why you’d think anyone has false hair (the Fluttershy tail extension thing was only temporary so that doesn’t really count).

Well… I’m not going to argue with that. I’m not even sure why I was questioning a cartoon in the first place, but I still have a curious soul anyways, so I still will. I know that sounds dumb, but you do have a point there. If Rainbow would have used her force it would have been a lot more efficient.

Answer 1: Maybe the make up artists stuffed her her in a headcap and used a short rainbow wig after Rainbow told them she doesn’t want her hair cut
 
Answer 2: Rainbow must really love her speedy powers and Twilight thought she would look cute in fornt of her future boyfriend, Timber Spruce; as for the rest, they probably don’t want to risk using their powers by accident or think the geode would cramp out their style
 
The REAL question you should’ve been asking is “WHY DIDN’T SHE USED HER SPEEDY FORCE TO GET OUTTA THE PROP ROOM IN THE FIRST PLACE???!!”
