Personally, I haven’t seen the hate so I can’t comment on it.
I’m mostly referencing those days back on S2 when the first baby pony models appeared and looked really awkward compared to the rest of the species. A notion that I agree with (tho I don’t necessarily hate them), since I think Flurry ends up looking much cuter for not having those eyes.
Who are, at least, cuter than the first baby pony, in TMMDW. Though the Cake twins do have their moments:
