Sounds about right. Relationships between rich people aren’t really relationships unless they actually disregard their respective sources of wealth to be with each other for moments at a time.

Yeah, sounds about right. That’d actually be crazy if divorce was illegal. I mean, I wouldn’t be surprised if divorce was the norm with married couples in Manehattan XD

Judging from the events in “A Perfect Pear”, it appears ponies have a serious taboo about breaking up families. I suspect divorce in Equestria is actually illegal. Ponies who want to separate probably have to go through one of the Princesses to get an annulment.
 
Filthy Rich and Spoiled Rich probably are trapped in a loveless marriage, but they’re not about to separate for fear of the scandal that would create. This, btw, explains Diamond Tiara.
