What Scootaloo should be asking on how come no one aside from the Mane 7 get to “pony-up” despite the dolls Hasbro released clearly depicted other non-Mane 7 characters pony-ed up.  
Quite a shame only the Mane 7 get to have that in the actual movie/shorts

Yeah after watching these shorts I’d prefer Boulder Media doing EQG, or for DHX to switch to Toon Boom

DHX will still be in charge of those. On of the major reasons why companies choose to outsource work to or commission work from other entities is because that entity can consistently produce the product at a quality much higher than the company itself could. Boulder Media might be able to put out good work (which is why Hasbro had no problem letting them handle these minor shorts), but no one can animate My Little Pony better than the studio that’s been doing it for seven years now.

I finally found a link to shorts and think Boulder did okay job. Some parts looked better than DHX, but some looked worse. They have more fluent animation with some of the body movements, like Dashie’s dance, but their lipsyncing seems off (unless the video I watched was out of sync). They’re pretty good and now Hasbro has no reason to not fire DHX. THEY LOST JOBS!!!!!!!! :(

But some of the animators in DHX have a sexual attraction to the MLP ponies, just like me, which is why we got scenes like Sweetie Belle with a golden butt and Pinkie rubbing her butt. We won’t get that with a new animation company!!!!! :(

Again, you’re overreacting. As 100SGX mentioned, it’s entirely possible DHX was too busy to work on these shorts and Hasbro didn’t want to spend a fortune to have them made. It’s far cheaper to produce things in-house (provided you already have the necessary resources that is) rather than commissioning someone else to do it. This applies not just to animation but almost every industry out there.

You could start with using less exclamation marks and acting more calmly. As for why an “Irish animation company” made these EQG shorts, I’d wager it has something to do with the fact that Boulder Media was acquired by Hasbro not too long ago (unlike DHX, Boulder Media is fully owned by Hasbro). It’s possible Hasbro simply wanted to “break them in” per-say by having them work on something from an official Hasbro franchise.
