Not at all, simply stating that Saban did a better job of making Tommy feel natural as a character. Tommy is basically the anti-Starlight. Both characters started off as villains, both characters were redeemed, both characters became part of the main cast of their respective shows. The difference lies in the execution. Tommy Oliver as the Green Ranger was often scarce (though this was more the fault of the limited stock footage for the character, remember that Tommy’s Sentai counterpart died), and was compelling as a character, leaving you wanting to see more of him (and by extension, buying the latest Mighty Morphin Power Rangers™ Green Ranger™ action figure, only $29.99 plus tax at your local Kay-Bee Toys). By contrast, Starlight is shoved into the spotlight as often as the writers can get away with, and when combined with her character post-redemption being about as bland as Corn Flakes, leaves audiences sick of her.

It’s cute. But for the same price range, I could have the 4de plushes.

I’ve heard the Build-a-Bear ones are very snugglable. I would get that Starlight one just for snuggles, BUT I barely ever do that nowadays even with my Twilight or Sunset plushie anyway. Disappointing but ah well.

Except the Green Ranger had an actual character arc and wasn’t overexposed and shoved down your throat as if to say “BUY MY TOYS” (quite the opposite, actually).

Also, the movie’s going to be focusing on the Mane 6, so anyone who doesn’t like Starlight won’t have their minds changed.

Is this supposed to be an anti-Starlight post? Because it looks more like a cute image of Starlight defending a trash can.

What’s funny imo is how this is an irl picture of a Build-a-Bear plushie worth about $30. Which means the haters are actually being trolled by someone who likes Starlight enough to buy a plushie.

Excellent shitpost.
