I started out on this site; then gravitated toward fluffybooru. My username there is similar but not exactly the same. My artwork sucks, but I’m writing a story combining the Simpsons and fluffy ponies, on a separate site. I’ve only shared it with one other person, and nobody on the booru, since any hugboxery gets branded autistic on that booru. I think that’s partly why we don’t see many of the better artists there anymore. The greater majority craves abuse “art” and stories, although I have mined some gems there. It just gets harder to find the good stuff on fluffybooru.

Their fluffies may look the same, but the hellgremlin fandom couldn’t possibly be any further from the fluffy fandom. Whereas fluffies are about naive, innocent little simpletons in a cold and uncaring real world, the hellgremlin fandom is about unrepentantly evil little shitheads raping babies, shitting on people and each other, and generally being as obnoxious and hateable as humanly possible. That’s not even hyperbole, that’s precisely how they themselves describe their fluffies and what in their opinion is the whole point of the fandom.
 
As the content of the booru started turning into its own polar opposite, the fans of the original fluffies started leaving the fandom because more often than not visiting fluffybooru just made them angry. That’s why we need a new home for the good fluffy fandom, because it can’t coexist with a fandom that’s all about making people hate the thing they love.

Yes! “Hellgremlins!” That’s the spiral of utter shit that emerged. Stuff like raping mares, killing ‘poopie babies’, bigg-puffy cheeks; all that eviljerky stuff. Ugh.

If you think about it, this pic is actually holding up well. The conflict of the situation (Sweetie getting stuck) is a very natural mishap in line with the old “fluffies get into crazy trouble”, instead of being caused by a willful malevolent party such as an abuser or evil fluffy as is the standard procedure of most abuse.
 
In addition, both fluffies are doing pretty well, despite their natural shortcomings. Sweetie is showing some amazing discipline with her bowel control, even though she’s having a breakdown and has possibly been trapped this way for a while. Apple Bloom, meanwhile, shows some good thinking-outside-the-box, figuring that if Sweetie can’t get to the litter box, the litter box can go to Sweetie. Daddy should be proud to see how hard they’re working to be good, helpful fluffies.

The new “fluffy hellgremlin” fandom taking over the fluffybooru is exactly why I left too. Nowadays visiting the booru will just make you angry, which is the only emotion those opposites of original fluffies are designed for. Original fluffies still have their fans, so hopefully derpibooru could serve as the new center for the fandom that wants to enjoy fluffies instead of hating them.

First it was the weird ‘Alicorns are seen as monsters’ headcanon which spread around. Then it was the ‘dehumanization’, so to speak, making Fluffies totally evil and incompetent and selfish to justify more and more abuse. Then it got to ‘enfie babies’.
 
Then there’s cannibal fluffs, the exaggeration of the ‘pig’ and ‘rat’ ‘features’, the flanderization of shitting everywhere. And now its just boring. Nearly everyone is so set on these apparently terrible shitrats than fluffy ponies that trying to curve back a bit to fluffy ponies gets derided.

It’s why I left.

No big surprise there, given that FB has spent the last several years as a massively toxic echo chamber full of abusers praising each other and inventing new horrors to out-do each other with. All the while the people that tried to create works that could be shown in public got fed up and dropped out.

The original fluffybooru hasn’t been lost to another fandom. It’s just a bastion of MLP haters more often than not.
 
However, on that note, hey, Sweetie!Fluff and Fluffyshy. Haven’t seen those lovable fluffs in a while.
