Maybe she knows her limits? She could have easily flown away before capture though.

  1. The wonderbolts are mostly performers, they rarely engage in combat.
That was disproven in Season 4 with EUP.

  1. I’m doing exactly it right now. By explaining you why I consider her experienced warrior who not fits typical damsel in distress role at all.  
  2. How it’s even related? Plot armor or not, it still not changes the fact that they had more than a fair share of combats, more that we’ve ever seen Royal guards and Wonderbolts participating in.  
  3. Roughly as often as we’ve seen Royal Guards in combat. Are you not considering them military too?  
  4. Maybe more, maybe less. Again, it not changes the fact that, all facts considered, RD IS warrior.

The term “fighter” can apply to anyone who doesn’t back down from a threat whether they can fight or not. They might get their ass beat, but it doesn’t stop them from trying.

That’s not what you said. You said she was specifically a fighter. Fighting is more then physical ability, it involves a lot of tactics that athleticism won’t teach you.

  1. You’re still judging rainbow dash based on your idealized version of her, not on how she actually acts in the show. You never addressed that.  
  2. Plot armor is not combat experience.  
  3. Keyword rarely.  
  4. You don’t get to twist the meaning of words to fit your narrative, and she does not engage in any more fights then most of the other mane six. Twilight’s more of a warrior then RD, RD didn’t fight Tirek.

  1. Which exactly? I’m pretty sure I’ve addressed all of the actual ones already.  
  2. We’ve seen Royal guards being crubstomped pretty easy for a trained military, while Mane Six kicked some serious flank at Royal Wedding. From what we know, Equestria haven’t been at war with anyone for a LONG time, so ordinary rank-and-file guards have nowhere to get actual combat experience - unlike Twilight’s squad. And fighting experience is the best combat trainer! (beside, in “Call of the Cutie” it was shown that Dash knows some form of Martial Art, and her Wonderbolts trainings could count as well.)  
  3. In both “Secret of my Excess” and S4 finale we’ve seen them acting as combat unit. So is in Sombra’s bad future. More then enough to consider them military, at least partially.  
  4. She chose a military as her career, she has been participating in a lot of fights and - judging by “Do princesses dream of magic sheep” - she actually enjoyed it. She IS warrior in my book.
