This kind of off-site and not-our-fandom drama is a great example of “please take it somewhere else”.
That’s the fandom’s fault, not the show’s. Also, how is that event connected to having lesbian relationships in the show? To my knowledge, she was driven to attempt suicide after being insulted for drawing a skinny Rose Quartz. Which I agree, is not fair, she didn’t deserve to get harassed.
What the heck does that have to do with this image? If you just want to randomly complain about things or hate on other websites, fandoms, or shows, either go to a site about those things, or take it to the forums.

Okay, gonna try not to use language. What i said was that i was okay with lgbt characters as long as they’re well writen, but seeing what happened to SU after said thing happened, i rather that the show never does that, or tumblr will “take it”
In my country, MLP airs at 3pm on the weekends on Nick… along side shows like Dora and Paw Patrol.
We get SU and Clarence on CN and a lot of episodes with scenes that have same sex undertones are cut out considerably.

The thing about Scoot’s aunts is they were never implied to be a lesbian couple in the novel. They were more like odd couple friends living together. It wasn’t until someone asked Vogel if they were lesbian where he implied they might be.
Even if they appear in s8, their portrayal will be no different from simply being two friends.

I’m already restricting my kids from Season 8 until I can confirm Scoots’ ‘aunts’ aren’t in the show.
Lyra and bon bon are nothing more than friends. I do think they did this because they didn’t want the show to sink at the hand of the fandom like a certain show… they could very well go out and say “lyrabon is a thing” but they didn’t. They probably know what would happen. So they just kept them as friends so that hell didn’t raised upon the fanbase.
Also, it’s a kids show. Very inocent cute show that teaches kids about friendship. The last thing they would want is to get involved into politics
