Yes, indeed. PonyPon and Starswirl already provided another possible reason, which you can see on the third panel when you notice that Sun-burst’s goatee is gone.
 
Or he is just over-dramatic, trying to emulate various historical, over-the-top Dracula actors. What a nerd he is!
