Slaves are useful. Who would do all the menial work if they got rid of them?
Can you imagine unicorns or pegasi sweeping gutters?
Are they even worth enslaving? Wouldn’t it just be easier to purge them once and for all and be done with it?

Windigos never existed, I suppose. Both unicorns and pegasi see the earth pony as an outdated remnant of their evolutionary past, similar to the way we would view Neanderthals.
