@KingKrail
Thank you for the honesty. This was all more a result of what your friend did by posting it and during the ensuing drama than anything you did. Good luck with your art.
Just to clear this up in case it comes back to bite me, I DID use a mixture of tracing and freehand for this one which is why I haven’t posted it on my own profile. I didn’t get any monetary gain from it and I was simply using his work to get used to my new drawing pad while combining a friend’s oc with a piece they loved. If I knew it was going to be a big deal I would’ve begged them not to post it, even with the permission of the artist. All my other work is free hand by me and I’m refraining from tracing other art than my own in the future.
@Transparentist
Alright then. Thank you.
And sorry for the trouble.
Now @Everyone:
We know people care about tracing and possible theft of artwork, and we take these accusations seriously. But please just report the images in question and allow us to look into the issue and contact the artists in question.
Let’s leave the rest of the comments for people discussing the actual image itself.
@Background Pony #9882
How about instrad of posting some meme you actually overlay the images which is when youd see that it really isnt a trace, the image besharp commisioned is simply a reference for the pose and situation of this image, which Goattrain had nothing against when i asked him and even showed the image to him first before uploading.
@Transparentist
If you include a screenshot of you asking and receiving permission in the description, that should stop the “trace” people from popping up.
@Koops @BeSharp
If you think something is a trace, please just report it instead of attempting to “call out” someone in the comments.
Thank you.

Thank you.
I was not aware I had to provide photographic evidence. The buildings in front of and behind him, as well as the figure himself, matches completely.
It’s not a trace.
It’s not a trace, it just references it and i did ask Goat Train despite it not being a trace before posting it.
Try being less hostile and just ask instead.
I love you claiming its a trace with an attempt to insult me without even comparing the two images

I don’t like you. Properly tag it if you’re going to rip off something I spent my money on and Goat Train spent time and artistic talent on.

Seems like a trace of this?
Needs to be tagged with edit, or at least credit the original source.
