“You’ve been sitting in that corner tending to animals for NINE GODSDAMNED MILLENIA!?”
Also, anyone else think Sunset kind of has a lot in common with Magnus? I mean they’re both red, both incredibly gifted in magic, both disappeared off to another world, both became demons and both have past mistakes that they regret immensely! Seriously it’s like Poetry, it rhymes!

Ok I was not expecting an a serious reply like that, but that sounds awesome. I’ll have to look into this more thanks!

If I might lend my aid to give the very VERY quick version of the long story short? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MeVxKZBOfM
If you want to know about the game 40k, or the background stories, I’ve been in to the game for 21 years now, so I’ll probably be able to explain.
Basic background:-
20,000 years in the future. Mankind has spread across the galaxy. Our technology is at it’s peak, and a set of templates for building robust, easily repaired vehicles and equipment is created allowing the far flung colonies to survive and prosper.
This time is known now as the ‘Dark Age of Technology’
Then, at a stroke, mankind falls in to a new age of darkness. The technology largely forgotten.
This is brought about by an awakening of psychic powers in individuals who cannot fully control them. This power is drawn from another dimension called ‘the warp’, which is a place of pure energy, shaped by emotions.
There are also entities in this dimension that can take control of ill-prepared psykers.
Fast forward to the 31st millenium.
Out of this madness, a powerful warlord emerges. Known only as The Emperor, he fights his way to control of the whole of Earth. A wise and powerful leader, he creates 20 superhuman warriors to lead his enhanced warriors. These are the Primarchs. (It’s actually 21; the 20th legion, the Alpha legion have twin Primarchs).
Long story short, 2 Primarchs disappear from the records. Of the remaining 18, 9 of them turn traitor.
I’ll continue if asked. That took some typing.
It’s also a fairly notable meme source. I know less than nothing about the series except for the Heresy and Purification and Blood for the Blood God stuff thanks to memes. WASH AWAY THE ANGER. X3
Glorious. That’s what it is.
Okay, in all seriousness, it’s kind of gotten to be like Star Wars now. It started out as primarily a tabletop war game using plastic miniatures from about a dozen different armies fighting each other, though it’s expanded into video games, novels, and (terrible 80s) movies. It has massively extensive lore, set in the 41st millennium, where in the grim dark future there is only war.
I could go on at length if you like. This particular fan series mostly pokes fun at the lore of the world, primarily through the lens of the closest thing the setting has to a main character, the God-Emperor of Mankind.
Oh…
What’s a Warhammer 40K? All I know is that it’s a game.
It’s a reference to the YouTube series “If the Emperor had a Text-to-speech Device” by Alfabusa, based on Warhammer 40k
