Just read the entire thing and I admit I cried at the end. A masterful piece of work, thank you Gashiboka for making this comic!

I think you’re being overly pissy over a story. Also, nothing in the story implied that this wouldn’t happen.

So basically, the author said “Fuck you, this is my story bitch!” and gave us this…

So, it is over. Well, this comic had a pretty promising start, but the ending was… kinda disappointing.

I can understand that this is what the writer wanted. But I think it could have better if it was hinted at that Twilight’s friend did remember and helped alter the future where the imposter and red changlings are defeated and gone, but Twilight passes after the battle. I like this ending because it could be done without changing much of the comic pages.

To be honest  
Didn’t expect the quick ending that renders the entire adventure moot though.  
The 5 friends forgot their adventure (which means no character development) and the horrific future will inevitably come to pass.  
It’s tragic to see that the reputation of Twilight was so horrifically tarnished by that doppelganger and that the story didn’t go into detail how her friends tried to redeem Twilight’s image.  
I kinda missed that closure.
 
The panel of the silhouette of Pinkie Pie holding the birthday cake should have been exploited as a twist in the ending that she alone didn’t really forget. And that she would warn Twilight what can happen.  
That Pinkie is seemingly immune to the effect of Time stabilization. . .  
that would have made this adventure worthwhile. . . . but alas.  
Nothing of the status quo changed from the beginning of the comic.  
It is as if the story never happened.
 
Well IMHO out of the entire comic this strip is my fav.
