I have a feeling some people will have this question so I’ll preemptively answer it.
“Why are they practicing on pony shaped targets?” And I have a couple answers that work for this question.
-This is only their first week of training, they have yet to learn about any monster anatomy. The pony body is what everyone will be most familiar with and is used for target practice for the first couple of weeks.
-The Royal Guard purchase these targets from the same company that manufactures the dress pony models seen in fashion stores. They are cheaper and easier to purchase in bulk than the various types of monster dummies.

c’mon, it’s not like she doesn’t have to grapple and block to keep them from cutting her. I’m sure these are very aggressive training dummies.
He’s loading, firing, and reloading a CROSSBOW at the same rate she’s swinging ‘swords’ around, while still making damn good shots to boot. Even if it’s just training, that takes a whole lot more skill to do.
maybe if you only fight training dummies that aren’t swinging back at you
