To be fair, I wasn’t discussing politics so much as mocking someone’s reasoning.
I guess they are roughly equivalent actions.

If you want to discuss politics go visit the forum thread it belongs to.
This comment section is not the place for it. Please stop.
We’re really doing this “one man’s action speaks for the whole” bullshit again?
I don’t know how you take that as a pot shot. The man who shot up that baseball practice was politically motivated, he followed popular political comedians and commentators very closely, their rhetoric was, and is, just as heated as right-wingers, if not moreso. Thus begging the question, how bringing that incident up is out-of-the-blue when it has so much to to with the dangers of hive mentality and the fever pitch at which people start acting on the things they are told without thinking for themselves.
I don’t get what you’re trying to accomplish here. You’re decrying the obnoxious state of political extremism, but you opened up that can of worms by just flinging some random political pot shot at the other side. Out-of-the-blue insults won’t exactly help to bring the two sides away from their extremes.

Well, considering how the frenzy stirred up by the left inspired a guy to attempt mass assassination of Republican members of Congress, yea, I think the left is worse. Doesn’t mean I vote Republican though.
“Both sides are to blame, but the one I’m against moreso.”
I’m no better than anyone else. Just going off of experiences in my own life.
Yes you are correct that both sides are in that same boat, I guess it just feels like the left these days are far crazier overall than the right was during Obama. That the left are willing to do and say anything (such as mileading a FISA court with erroneous political propaganda for their own benefit, for example) in order to destroy their opposition.
Bit of an odd way to spell “extremists on either side of the artificially expanded political divide whose values have been continually reinforced by the two-party system, media bias, and desire to remain in a group,” there.

Trollish political “I’m better than you” comments really only tell us about you.
Just make sure that evidence don’t threaten my ego and my flawed perspective of the life.
People don’t like to be corrected, as it feels you’re inferior.
