Agreed. If people do or don’t like a certain character for their personality traits or physical appearance, they should use the filters. Then everyone would be happy. The image macros and discussions could be forum/discussion-exclusive and not an eyesore.  
But, unfortunately, not everyone listens to somthing that would help them avoid being called a duck or some other name.

Yes, that would be nice. But we’ve had a real influx of people in the last couple of weeks who seem to insist that they be allowed to document, image by image, which characters they do or don’t like. And then we start seeing image macros like this one …
 
Kind of makes me wish that people would use the forums to discuss their opinions about this kind of thing, rather than shitting up the image feed with their shitposts about which character they do or don’t like.

No, I meant that I noticed this happening right after “No Second Prances” just as a “blink-and-you’ll-miss-it” moment.  
It’s not impossible. Rainbow Dash and Trixie can be equally cute, by design, actions or facial expressions, etc.
 
It’s just the fact that someone blurting out that one character is cuter than the other in the form of images like the one above, it’s essentially bait that’s going to end up turning into a spiraling argument war (knowing the fandom it could likely happen). It’d be nice to find a compromise of some sorts to see that RD and Trixie are both cute. Just without any flame wars.

Are you attempting to argue that it’s impossible for someone to have subjective feelings toward a character, influenced by their own personal feelings, tastes, or opinions, resulting in them liking or not liking that character? And that the only way that characters can be “cute” is if they have some specific number of highlights in their eyes?

There is no such thing as someone being more cute than others. All the protagonists (and deuteragonists) are cute once they become friends with the mane 6 or starlight because they all have 2 highlights in their eyes.
 
To add to the cuteness, a third highlight appears when they want to be cute or when they’re sad.
 
Ponies have emotions and make mistakes the same way people do.  
So anyone saying “(insert character here) was never cute”, your argument is invalid.

At least Rainbow Dash can back up her bragging. Trixie was always a shitty pony who thought she was better than she really was.
