Well, I don’t think Bon Bon and Lyra escaped from the Storm King’s attack on Canterlot. They’re already captured and/or enslaved by the Storm King, his troops and soldiers, Tempest, and Grubber.

Yeah. That’s right. The Storm King and his army had fully ruled and conquered the entire kingdom of Equestria for three long days. And his victory was undone at the end of the film thanks to the Mane Six and their new friends from beyond Equestria they’ve made.
