To be fair, the Avenger was horribly underrated and panned all the time for quality compared to everything else at the time. Same thing happened to it’s “cousin” to Chrysler Sebring and later refreshed 200. (Before the brand new 200, which sold really well and was critically acclaimed) They were not bad vehicles, just built during a time of Chrysler struggling, so they used lesser quality materials inside. They were praised for their wonderful V6 engines which provided best in class performance, but both the Avenger and Sebring had not so great interior quality (2012 they really improved them). They also, for midsize cars, were smaller then the competition. They never outsold the competition but sold decently well and were a good value price for performance.

When Chrysler ended the Avenger and Sebring in 2014, they reintroduced the Chrysler 200 on a whole new platform and totally rehauled the vehicle so it was new from the ground up. It won much praise and finally got Chrysler back in the game with sedan’s that could compete and beat the others. It had best in class performance, award winning interior design and quality, sleek stunning looks, but still slightly smaller cabin interior. Nonetheless, after a short run of three years, Chrysler stopped production of the Chrysler 200 to focus on being debt free and start creating new crossover vehicles as sedan margins weren’t as high as they had wished. The Avenger never saw another generation with the new 200.

Underrated vehicle? Looks rather a fine vehicle to me. Shame, the sales falls down during the time being produced, although that car should be a fine vehicle, not very underrated.

Other than that, you may talking about the Chrysler JA sedans, those are the correct ones to be the worst.

Man, I hate that channel since I don’t know, so many bullshits in his videos whatever I’d watch it, gonna wait the one by Doug DeMuro, he didn’t had a chance to rent an Avenger in the first place.
