The law of least effort is in full effect here. If you look at it, the sky “glow” is just me going downtown with the water tool in sai, the moon was the most complicated thing there. Then there’s like three progressively darkening flat layers on top of each other. The gravestone, the trees and the ground they’re on is just one flat layer.
 
As long as the colours look natural, you can get away with fairly little effort.
