He’s that too. Pinto, paint, and coloured (in the UK) are all synonymous terms for the coat pattern of large patches of white and some other color. Two specific forms of pinto are piebald (black patches on white) and skewbald (any other color on white).

As said earlier, I was very much of the same mind.
Now I feel bad for the skewballed mares I turned away for my character’s wives in Crusader Kings 2 and sort of wish in a future patch Paradox could adjust the code so there was a chance someone might appreciate a multicolored horse more than a flat colored one.
That’s a weird thought though - imagine if pinto horses and other patchy coated ponies were discriminated against in Equestria or at least in its earlier history. Maybe some of the snootier assholes considered them “impure”
