I wouldn’t go as far as to say Spike is a slave to the remane 5–overall they genuinely do appreciate his presence–but I have to admit their treatment of him here was pretty poor.

I felt sorry for Spike in this cruel scene and I just wanna punch each of the Mane 5 in the face for forcing poor Spike for doing this bullshit.
If I were Spike, I would stand up for myself and tell them that I’ve had enough of their bullcrap of being their slave for 7 seasons at that point.

Yes, Trixie “fought fire with fire”. But there’s a reason we also have the saying, “an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind”. The mane 6 supposedly acting badly is not an excuse for Trixie to behave just as badly. Let’s be honest here; how often do hecklers actually ruin someone’s entire livelihood?
Now you’re not giving Spike and Celestia enough credit. The hecklers in “Horse Play” stopped because of Spike’s clever actions (who in turn was guided by Celestia). Anyone who saw the episode can tell you that.
I did post a comment way back saying I wished to stop. Yet you replied to that and continued to argue. If you want to stop things now, I’d be more than happy to oblige.
Trixie fought fire with fire.
There was NO EXCUSE for trying to ruin the show and spoil the audiences fun.
If the Mane 6 were successful it would have also seriously endangered Trixies livelihood.
I don´t blame a showpony for not caring for hecklers.
The hecklers in Horse Play stopped on their own.
The Mane 6 did not, they insisted to go on stage to show up Trixie instead of leaving and that had harsh consequences.
Sure, blame me. If you wanted to stop you would have already done that.

I was stating facts. You were trying justify Trixie’s underhanded behavior, which you yourself have admitted is below the high road.
The hecklers stopped in “Horse Play” because Spike was able to move the show forward by playing along with them. Trixie, on the other hand, called out the mane six (who may or may not have even been heckling her) and stopped her own show to challenge ponies to come up on stage and try to outdo her.
I wanted to end this a long time ago. You refused to stop, however.

The Mane 6 tried to show up Trixie on her own stage and it backfired. Trixie entertained many ponies who enjoyed her show, there was absolutely no justification for that behaviour.

Also you still haven’t my question. Why should Trixie’s underhanded techniques in “Boast Busters” be justified when the mane 6 did not have to resort to that kind of behavior to tame hecklers in “Horse Play”?

Hey, I’m not the one who started this entire off-topic argument about Trixie. That was all genervt’s doing. That said, I will admit responding to him was a mistake on multiple fronts.

It’s clear to me now that you place your personal headcanon above all, even above the canon of the show. So instead of continuing this pointless back and forth, I will leave you with a piece of advice instead. Next time you see someone post a comment with an opinion that happens to be contrary to yours, show a little restraint and don’t start arguing over something that’s completely irrelevant to the image.

The Mane Six started it by heckling Trixie until she had enough and decided to fight fire with fire.
The hecklers in this case stopped after a few interjections, the Mane 6 went on and on until it could no longer be tolerated.
Nopony forced the Mane 6 to go on stage and try to show up Trixie, they had more than enough opportinities to simply walk away.
You cannot expect Trixie to suddenly grow wings and fly. What she did was more than enough to keep her audience entertained so she succeeded at her goal.
They WERE trying to humiliate Trixie by hypocritically showing off themselves on stage and if they had succeeded Trixies reputation AND her livelihood would have been seriously damaged.
This is exactly what Twilight accidently did later (just to be clear, I won´t blame her for saving the town).

Now you’re just ignoring facts. The mane 6 weren’t trying to humiliate Trixie; they were responding to the challenge she issued: “Anything you can do, I can do better”. And instead of legitimately going through with her challenge (which is what they were expecting her to do), she instead embarrasses them in front everyone with some lowbrow tricks. Again, as we saw in this episode, it is entirely possible to tame hecklers without having to humiliate them. Trixie’s actions, while maybe understandable, are not justified in any way.

For this reason Trixie and everypony else could hear them loud and clearly.
And Rainbow was even booing her and went on stage to complain.
She only did that because Twilights friends did not stop bothering her.
They were disturbing the show all the time instead of leaving and they were NOT QUIET. When Trixie had enough of their insolence she challenged them.
Twilights friends tried to disturb the show several times and also attempted to humiliate Trixie in front of her own audience so she turned the tables on them.
It may not been the high road but it was certainly not unjustified.

They only appear to be speaking loudly for our sake. They probably weren’t actually talking at that volume in that moment. This is made clear by the fact they are obviously trying to talk only amongst themselves.

True, but again, they were only expressing their discontent over Trixie’s antics with each other. It was Trixie who yanked them into the spotlight.
You’re ignoring the point of my last post; Trixie could have saved her show from hecklers without having to humiliate anyone. That exactly what the mane 6 did here.
Talking bad about Trixie loudly so that everypony has to hear it, disturbing Trixie and booing her is HECKLING.
Trying to show her up is front of her very own audience is an attempt at PUBLIC HUMILIATION and also a serious threat to her REPUTATION.
Dash, AJ and Rarity were hostile and disdainful against Trixie from the beginning and never even tried to enjoy the show or simply walking away.
I cannot blame Trixie for not waiting until her show is ruined or her audience starts throwing tomatoes at her.
