Pretty sure Gen 5 is now the new ”Rose Quartz is Pink Diamond” theory. Nobody believes it is real but it actually is! And before anybody asks: It actually was shown in Steven Universe.

You’re absolute right. Sure I would miss G4, but when there is the slightest chance that their will be more and deeper lore, I won’t complain. The easiest way to justfy a G5 IMO would be a timeskip, but we all know how bad Hasbro/DHX handels their own timeline. :-D
 
I would prefer a more mature and enhanced design for the old mane 6 than a complete redesign, but let’s wait till things are done. Still enjoy season 8 and looking forward to season 9. :-)

Yeah, you’re right:3 The ASAP thing does seem suspicious.  
Hopefully G5 will fix some of the issues G4 had.  
I’ve heard that it will have a slightly higher rating/target audience too.  
Maybe that will let them go a bit deeper into the lore. Because honestly, there’s enough of it to warrant a number of films/OVAs or even full-fledged spin-off series.

I’m the only one who is suspicious about this picture? Seriously a verbalism like ASAP doesn’t look very professional to me. It looks more like the power point presentation of a hipster start-up. No offense. ;-D
 
I admit that the leaks of the second movie, the redesigns of the mane 6 and the princess Celestia schedule are pretty decent. But nothing of this convince me that there is anything rock-solid decided. Just let us stay calm and drink some tea. If Hasbro/DHX is ready to confirm the end of G4, then it will be soon enough. Better than jumping to conclusions. :-)

I will be happy if we can get at least three of four more seasons (I will have no objections if we get more).  
There are far more than enough stories to tell.
 
Maybe we can eve get a second movie as the series finale.
