Description
Until Derpibooru gets around to implementing a comments rating system, this should prove handy at least.

I was writing down a huge reply to this, but to hay with that! Quick summary. People’s posts are a form of communication. Ratings are a form of feedback. As feedback goes, they have their flaws, but also their merits, and either way, feedback is a form of communication too. To me, that’s enough to make it… well, ‘necessary’ might be stronger a word than I’m looking for, but I would still argue that its status as a form of communication is still enough to give it a place in the world, sure.
Also, I’m only being a teensy bit of a troll when I say thank you for sharing your mind, and have an upvote. Seriously, though, I love arguing, and you’ve been fun to argue with. You’ve kept your arguments simple, earnest and to the point, and they’ve always been arguments, never attacks,so much appreciated. Peace. :)
I like the sentiment, but also think it is unnecessary. People say their mind because of what they think is right is more important than doing it for good ratings.
See? This is why I want a comments rating system. XD
I do like the idea of a comment rating, but mostly because I’ve seen so many comments I’ve loved, too many to simply reply to all of them. If a comment makes me happy, I definitely want the creator to know that, and this was done in that spirit.
And… yeah. People are definitely very frail. But, you know, that’s not necessarily bad. Ideally that would mean they are sensitive to the feelings of others, and not just to their opinions, which I admit is not often the case. All the same, that just makes me want to reassure them of their awesomeness whenever they do something well, and this drawing is my way of doing that. :)
People are so fragile to do something like that.
Still there is no need to rate comments.
No, if someone doesn’t like a comment, it’s just reported and rule-N’ed out of existence.
