Considering what the episode actually is, this was probably the WORST way possible to advertise it. They’re setting audience’s expectations WAY too high.
DON’T watch it by expecting an epic finale-like episode or you’re gonna be EXTREMELY disappointed. Watch it as a simple mindless fun episode. Unfortunately I see that DF is not doing a good job in that regard…

(of course, the episode has the things that made me loving it other than that, but that’s the peak for me)
Ah… Look, I’m very sorry if I’m making such a big deal about this but, I hate the fact that this episode is gonna be bashed due to FALSE ADVERTISING. The thing is… Ah… I’ll admit it: Despite I think the season is great so far, I have to second the people who think that it didn’t much justice to the Mane 6 (excluding Twilight who has been great so far. Also I actually loved Fluttershy doing her personas but I can see why people hated her then). Pinkie wasn’t at her best in the Maud Couple, and the less words I spend about RD and AJ’s portrayal in Non-Compete Clause the better it is (RD was great in Grannies Gone Wild thought). The heartwarming moment with them and Starlight around the end, it’s currently my favorite moment of the season so far and it’s very at heart to me and I hate that people are gonna just ignore it because that. The Mane 6 are characters that mean a lot to me and honestly I’m not liking that the S8 is not valorizing them as it should and for once that there is a moment that actually is doing it… It’s just gonna be ignored for the wrong reasons, this is why I’m so nervous about this… Do you understand what I’m saying?
