I think the last part with Shining and Cadence is more true to life than most people relize, thus why I find it humorous. It’s like everyone is led to believe that they’re this sweet, young, lovey-dovey couple, (like most celebrates) but behind closed doors they go through the same hardships and tribulations like everyone else.
It’s just a parody of this, I don’t think it’s meant to be taken that seriously.
Not every marriage and relationship is sunshine and rainbows, most marriages tend to wind up in either divorce or murder-suicide after a few years.
I appologize if I’m coming off as grimm, but those are actual statistics.
I think the idea is that the story gets distorted along the way.
