Nope, it’s a sincere post.
I really don’t see this picture as political in the slightest. The idea that LGBT people should be accepted for who they are seems more like basic human decency than politics.

How is the idea that people shouldn’t feel ashamed of who they are or who they love political?
I’d think people on both the right and left can and should agree to that.

That’s true, I didn’t consider that. Asexual people can still be romantic, it’s true.
She could also be pansexual, demisexual, omnisexual, or ACE…nothing here implicitly shows them doing anything sexual. They are implied to be in some kind of relationship that is non-heteronormative which is the point.
Rarity has canonically been attracted to men numerous times, so for her to be attracted to women, she’d be bisexual rather than gay, yes.
