(In case it wasn’t obvious that was satirical outrage but it is called football not soccer)
 
Actually, the term “soccer” was invented in England as an abbreviation of the word “association” - Association Football (to give it its full title) became Soccer Football, as opposed to say Rugby Football. But then the term Soccer was dropped later and it came to be referred to just as Football, while Rugby Football eventually just became Rugby.

I’m fully aware of that. In British-speaking countries, instead of “bloody nose”, as they’d say here, they use the term “blood nose”. I was just making a joke about how how Octavia seemed to be putting a lot of stress on the word “bloody”.

One more thing: I can’t help noticing that Octavia’s specifying that whoever she’s screaming at kick the “bloody” ball. Not the football, not the soccer ball, not the rugby ball, but the bloody ball.
