Good point, think it’s also partially that, when it comes to Mares at least, Spike is a bit more subtle (i.e. >>1630134) while Zephyr is more, well, see above.

Yeah you are remembering wrong. ;
) I will give you some more examples. Spike made a dumb mistake in handing over Twilight’s personal hand-written fanfics to the media. Spike seems to get easily angered too when someone pushes his buttons. Starlight has done this many times to him. Spike was judgmental and didn’t want Starlight to move in, because she thought she was a “terrorist” in his words. He never had met her to that point. Spike also really disliked Pinkie Pie early on.

Maybe it’s because Spike can keep his faults in check around others, while Zephyr doesn’t.
Are they? I don’t remember anypony ever treating Spike like he had any faults. Could be I’m remembering things wrong, of course.
Spike is no saint. His faults are clearly shown throughout the series. Haha. For one, he has quite the eye for mares and lust isn’t a good thing.
Zephyr has shown some nice attributes and he has also shown that he knows others hate him. I don’t know if Zephyr wants to change though. He hasn’t shown signs of it.

This makes me hate him even more. He made Minny uncomfortable and he’s threatening Spikes business. Time to gut him.
