Perhaps he set too high a lath to himself, and eventually there was depression. We do not know what’s going on in his head, he does not talk much about himself.
I hope someday to return to his work.

I don’t remember him saying anything about a house fire - “Sorry guys. I had a burnout. That’s it.
And I think patreon was a mistake (I didn’t charge any money since then, btw)”

A burnout in this context usually means an artistic burnout (e.g. not feeling like drawing anymore)

He said in the comments that his house had a fire, if I understand correctly, he did not store the files in the cloud.
I think because of the burning out, the original files disappeared, and he can not continue working. Then I think everyone will go depressed, when the thing you’ve been working on for a long time and was the peak of your work, it suddenly disappeared and it can not be restored.

He himself does not say anything, these are only my assumptions.
But the fact that he decided to finish with his activities is obvious, there is a chance that someday he will return.
It is a pity that he does not report on his details and future plans, decided to quietly finish his activities, given that he has many admirers of his work.
