I feel that those “shy gestures” and her “leaving because she didn’t want to say how she felt” was more because of her guilt. Knowing that they were celebrating the defeat of the evil that she was largely responsible for bringing to them in the first place. Also she grew up without friends or any positive relationships, so being surrounded by all of this love, and happiness, and compassion was a lot for her to process at once. She was just emotionally overwhelmed.
