Welp, by the rules of the iceberg meme, I qualify for the lowest point since you only have to have one of the points to qualify for that rank. I’ve had dreams about being a pony in Equestria
@Goddess Erosia
yeah. Granted, this isn’t the worst, but it can be, all depends on how it’s used as well as where. For instance, if I were to be caught like this, true brony, or that last one, only thing I can do is explain like any normal human being would and try to explain things that draw me into the show in a manner that the person asking me would comprehend, not something that only makes sense to me, or something that is an in group thing, or in the know of the group. You know, normalize things around us.
it’s not all bad though, this super fan thing is obviously alright within here to an extent, or for comedic purposes to both an inside and outside audience. Just depends on if it’s used well and like others said, this super fan thing doesn’t become the identity of the person, because that’s kind of bad in almost all cases..
What!? lol.
On the bottom left corner: “Don’t take this seriously, please.” Ha! What if I had plans to purchase My Little Pony franchise from Hasbro and dominate the world!? Rofl!
I’m a huge fan but I don’t have money, I also don’t read the comics, even if I had money and knowledge, and meet famous people, I believe it’s something bigger than me. I’m already happy doing art for the fandom, I can’t imagine myself working with Hasbro or having a ponified car, rofl. And, just because of this I would be less of a brony than other people? Non-sense.
Seriously, who ever came up with the names “Solar Empire” and “Lunar Republic” to describe Equestria ruled soley under Celestia or Luna clearly don’t know what either of those even mean, as an empire is defined as: a extensive group of states or countries under a single supreme authority, especially an emperor or empress. Ok let’s just start off with this, what divisons of Equestria do we know? There is the Crystal Kingdom/“Empire”, Main Equestria and maybe Twilight’s little corner of the place, that is not an empire, and even then in most alternate universes where it could be classified as that under organization, an empire almost always implies intentional war for the sake of dominating land, which while i could see Luna doing, this is the Solar Empire ruled by Celestia, she would never do something like that!
And then theres the Lunar Republic, holy shit the fucking Lunar Republic, seriously, which fucking idiot came up with that name? A republic doesn’t have a goddamn monarch, a republic is just about the furthest thing you could get from a monarchy without the country being in anarchy! Seriously people, this is the most basic shit that you learn in grade 9 civics class!
Of anything it would be the other way around with Luna having the potential aggresion & vengefulness to wage war on other countries and subsequently dominate them to expand Equestria, thus creating an empire & on the flip side, while the country would never officially be a republic, i could definitely see Celestia stepping back enough that she basically becomes (almost) a figurehead but never completely, sort of like how Britain is nowadays. Officially it would be called something else, Solar Dominion sounds nice. (And hefore anyone says it, yes i know that isn’t entirely contextually correct either, but i don’t know if there even is a word for that.)
Honestly I don’t like this mentality…. the “true brony” thing, it applies to any fandom I guess.
I mean yeah, some people are more into it than others, and that’s fine. But I’ve seen plenty of people get big heads and act like they’re somehow “more valid” than others because they know X/Y/Z or they spent X amount of money.
I don’t know, I just don’t like the “obsessive fanatic” kind of mentality. Not that there’s anything wrong with expressing yourself or spending lots of money on something you like, or getting to know the people behind the scenes. There’s a whole world of personal experience there, and good on you if you get there in life. But really, as far as I see it, if you love the show and love the characters, no one should really stop you from calling yourself a brony. If you feel you’re comfortable with that identification, then in most cases it probably works. The only exceptions I can imagine are the generic fuccboiz who are just doing it for shallow reasons, like attention or something.
one day I hope I can convert 20+ people to her celestial wisdom and grace.
Same here

I would never invest money on any pony merchandise or dolls.
I would never wear a fur suit or cosplay, it’s weird to me.
Never understood charts like these…
