The fact anyone would considered it episode 14 is just utterly ridiculous and in denial at this point.  
iTunes, and literally any official sites have A Matter of Principals as episode 14 15

So I’ve noticed. However, once season 8 ends it’s hiatus and the episodes air in their proper order, Derpibooru will have to alter the tags and tag implications.

Block? You mean the surprise showings? They aren’t posted in the right order because they are surprise episodes, and therefore are not officially released yet. Once they are, they will put Matter of Principals as episode 14, and Yakity Sax as episode 18. A lot of cartoons run this con all the time… Fool the fans into thinking the episodes are in the right order, than officially release the episodes in the planned order, throwing fans off balance. Simple con. Let’s also not forget the fact the season 8 hiatus doesn’t even end until August.

Episode 14 is Matter of Principals. Not Yakity-sax.

It’s all moot anyway, The Council Has Made A Decision and it’s getting left as spoiler:s08e14 on Derpi in perpetuity.

I think your logic is pretty sound here, but, don’t spoilers tend to remain for a longer time than just until the end of the season? So, shouldn’t it be that this change will be made after season 9?

I’m still struggling to understand your logic here. Keeping Yakity Sax as episode 14 on Derpibooru will only create unnecessary confusion. If the change is not made, the numbering of the episodes on Derpi–barring the two part season finale–will always be slightly off compared to practically anywhere else that keeps track of episode numbers (i.e. Zap2it, the MLP wikia, any TV guides, Equestria Daily, etc.).
 
I don’t think your giving Derpibooru users enough credit here. A lot of users do read the banners if the comments to the forum posts they occasionally link to are anything to go by, and people here in general pretty good about properly spoilering images.

People already have it in their brains that it was Ep14 and that’s how Derpi has been tagging yakity-sax, with an implication for spoiler:s08e14. Just like politics, it’s wrong, but it’s what we have right now. I’m saying that we should fix it– so that Yakity Sax is correctly labeled as Ep18 and The End In Friend as Ep14– after the season is over, when spoilers don’t matter anymore and the need for accuracy is finally more important than the need to prevent confusion.
 
Otherwise the two options are “keep doing it the way it’s done now, where some people tag it as 14 and some as 18”, or “switch the numbers now and have a big blue banner up at the top explaining that, which absotootly no-dadgum-body is going to pay any attention to”.
