The 2018 EqG specials were aired whole first, then split into pieces when they got put up online, which is why they’re more likely to be referred to as movies than the premieres/finales, which are split even when the parts are aired back-to-back. Hence you get a single entity longer than a standard episode. That doesn’t actually make it a movie, but the original question was why the hour specials got misidentified as movies but the premieres/finales didn’t.
That just sounds like a special that’s especially more epic than others; we literally just saw the girls pony up to zap a frickin’ phone that would’ve broke if it dropped two feet.
Well, even if they aren’t episides or movies, can we really call them “specials” when they nearly make up the bulk of the content? In fact, isn’t this trend kinda problematic? Like maybe EQG has been reduced to tablescrap?

Until EG is a proper series, calling these episodes is odd when EG is not that much of a show.
Do Forgotten Friendship and Rollercoaster of Friendship have as much as musical numbers as the first 4 movies? (FF - 2, RoF - 1)
Hell, they shared the opening theme and ending themes whereas in the first 4 movies, we have individual and specified theme songs.

Exactly
Technically…

…The season premieres/finales are each two separate episodes.
Fair play
I thought a movie classified as over 30 mins
because there was a rarijack special
What is this post got to do with Rarijack?
