My Little Pony comic #5, “Merry Music”, 1985Title: Pantomime ParadeSummary: To Bow Tie’s sadness, no one seems to have remembered her birthday. Not only is this a very popular plot in MLP (and in children’s literature in general, I think), but it also closely follows her backcard story. It’s a simple story, but it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. _
That or they borrowed the phrase from Very Earnest Horse Girl literature maybe.
Cool. They did put more thought into these than anyone gives ’em credit for, huh?
G1 comics: they even get the *horse noises* right.
