The difference here being I don’t share your desire to avoid conversation with you or him. Nice try to play the “but you did it, so it isn’t valid” card. You fail.
 
I am condescending. Because it is perfectly reasonable to expect people to just not do things they don’t want to do. Without needing some kind of “ha, I blocked you” tool.
 
And no, the mentality of this site of “if you don’t like it, hide it” is not reasonable at all. Very often it produces false positives. Dislike a character and filter him/her? You miss out on art of characters you do like when someone draws a picture containing both. Don’t like the style of a particular artist? Years later they can get better or change styles to something you do like.
 
Filtering away art works for situations where you’re interested in A, and you temporarily want to hide B to cut down the total number of pics to search through for A. It is a piss-poor method of protecting your poor little eyeballs from “ugly things.”
 
But, yeah. Condescending. Because you’re behaving like a child and the solution to your issue is to behave more like an adult. Of course it comes across as condescending.

Your condescension aside, that’s not what I was asking and it’s completely reasonable to not want to see the posts of someone you don’t get along with. You could have showed restraint and not made the post you just did, but you did it anyway, so your whole attempt to use this as an excuse to look down on a fellow person for your personal satisfaction and to look superior is meaningless. I want to block his posts in the same way we would block a tag we don’t want to see, nothing wrong with that.

There is a way, actually.
 
It’s called show a bare minimum of self-restraint and ignore what someone posts when you don’t want to talk to them or interact with them. It’s super easy, too. Just glance at the familiar duck avatar and/or notice the pair of duck badges. Them remember you don’t particularly like talking to that person. And don’t. Easy peasy.
