Bubbles is nice, because it would be a good shout-out to G1. But that probably can’t be, due to trademark issues.  
And definitely NOT Ditzy Doo, as they’re different ponies.

I wouldn’t mind “Bright Eyes” either.
 
But absolutely not Ditzy. That name has been forever tarnished as the name of censorship for me.

Before Derpygate, I would have considered Bubbles and acceptable “in-show” name, but now I say Derpy or no name at all.

I have to go with Ditzy Doo.  
But her nickname (for example, her friends would call her) would be Bubbles.

WeLoveFine designers aren’t Hasbro, nor official. If they were, we’d be seeing Pizza Pony in the show by now.
 
Plus, WeLoveFine’s slogan is, literally, “For fans, by fans”. Pretty sure that debunks the whole official argument.

Bubbles, or Misty (with the backstory that she was named for her coat color, and the kids at school cheerfully mangled it to Ditzy).

Huh, that’s an interesting question. If they rename her, I think “Derpy Hooves” has a nice ring to it. Second best would probably go to “Derpy Hooves”, or maybe “Derpy Hooves”.

I’d prefer Ditzy Doo to be her real canon name and Derpy Hooves to just be her nickname in the fandom.

To be honest, I know I’ll take some heat for this, but I actually kinda prefer “Ditzy,” or “Ditzy Doo.” She can still be refered to as “Derpy” off-screen though by fans if they want. It can be like her nickname.
 
According to Megan Macarthy, in her original script to “The Last Roundup” she was originally going to call her “Ditzy-Doo.” (Which would’ve been a nice callback to the “Winter Wrap-Up” episode.) But then they decided to change it to “Derpy.”

I don’t know, we probably won’t get much merch’ of her if she doesn’t have a name. They can’t use “Derpy” anymore due to the whole “Derpygate” situation, (and both sides to that argument going nuts over it) so I honestly wouldn’t mind her having a different name.
