It’s not a big deal, just helpful/considerate. If you tag incorrectly, the rest of us can fix them if we notice them. I’ve just noticed a trend in how you tag over several images that have needed the same fix, and it would be nice if you did them yourself. Nice, not required.
 
If you are interested in doing more of your own tagging, which I hope you decide to do, I’d suggest coming up with some kind of a checklist. Mostly think in terms of composition and you’ll probably end up getting most or all of the important tags.
 
Something like: “rating, artist:me, character(s) (name, species, gender), solo/duo/trio/etc., simple/complex background, monochrome or sketch vs the default finished picture, and noteworthy objects in the picture.
 
I doubt anyone really cares if you do or don’t tag that she has a tail, but some people do care a lot if the character is male/female and filter for or against “solo+male” or “solo+female.” Keep learning as you go. Add to or change your checklist as you do learn. Refer to your checklist when you upload.

[pony] is only for regular quadrupedal ponies. It is explicitly not for anthros.  
“anthropony” “anthrogirl” “anthroponygirl” and “ponygirl” also don’t apply. Just tag it “anthro” and “female.”
 
As it says in the uploader form, don’t forget commonly used tags like [solo].
 
Also, since you’re advertising your YCH commission, should also tag it [advertisement] so people can search for these things (or filter them) properly.
