Watched this episode lash night and LOVED Flash Magnus’s new role as sergeant for the Royal Guard. Being a Halo nerd I immediately pictured him acting like Sergeant Johnson, ready to lead his platoon against anything which could invade Equestria.
This macro’s a reference to my crossovers with my original IP where the ponies are in the UNSC-like role and must battle a theocratic alliance of cyborg human supersoldiers called the Dominion of Zecha, who want to nuke Equestria.
This just refers to them, the Zechites. They are actually “transhumanist cyborg supersoldier bastards” to be precise, but “human bastards” has a better ring to it and is a TV Trope.

It’s an AU with ponykind’s valiant struggles against Scary Dogmatic Humans. Consider it cultural appropriation in action.
Using one of the biggest HFY quotes in the Halo series but with the ponies instead makes perfect sense if you actually saw the particular humans they are battling. Let’s just say they’re as bad as the Covenant, just replace the plasma and laser guns with regular bullets, drones and nukes. And plenty of mechs stomping down anyone who oppose them.
They’re a theocratic and dystopian transhumanist society where every human citizen must become a cyborg supersoldier to wage God’s war to exterminate all nonhumans (they believe humanity are God’s chosen people and that any nonhuman races - ponies included - are actually demons in league with Satan) as well as any non-cyborg humans who would dare go against them. They have nukes capable of frying entire continents which pretty much screws over the whole “mutually-assured destruction” thing, the most state-of-the-art military in the galaxy that has completely mastered conventional firearms (think Metal Storm-style machine guns capable of a million rounds per-minute.)
Culturally they are angry, arrogant space ‘Muricans, heavy on the swearing and disrespect/xenophobia towards other cultures.
Going back to Halo, if the UNSC met these guys, let’s just say it’d be the Human-Covenant war all over again, just replace the Scary Dogmatic Aliens with Scary Dogmatic Cyborgs, who have the nerve to still consider themselves human.

The Halo Game with the worst campaign, but best ever multiplayer. I remember getting it the day it was released. Personally, I’m more excited for Halo Infinite.
Yeah, I know. And that’s why I have mixed feelings over Bungie’s successor calling themselves “343.” They literally named themselves after the bastard who killed Johnson.
Oh well, at least I’m excited Halo 5 Guardians will get a Windows 10 release, so I don’t have to by an Xbone. Dying to try the new scorpion tank and mantis with actual energy weapons.
And with those words, a video game made me cry for the first time.

Lol, I’ve played so much Halo over the past decade and a half I’ve memorized most of the in-game marine quotes.
