Also, Imagine playing as Shining Armor going through the levels of Hades to save his sister and most importantly, Princess Cadance, Ghouls N’ Ghosts style.
Yeah, that would probably work better, or a puzzle/platformer along the lines of “Mario VS DK,” or something.

Hard to say, but it’s possible they could be similar to their “sister” characters, while retaining some differences.
Would Cutie Mark Crusaders have their own echo fighters?
That’d probably be Cadance.
Twilight would be more her own character, with Sunset, Starlight, and maybe Trixie as either her rival or echo characters.
Does Twilight count as Falco or no?
I dunno, while Luna has similar specials, (only moonbeam/night themed) she has more unique A-button attacks, I’d say they’re more like Fox & Wolf.
Celestia and Luna are both “echo fighter” respectively.
Hehe… Though, as with Simon & Richter, it’s hard to say which one is the “echo” fighter.
