The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

@HorsesandMuchMOAR
I mean families of wild otters that roam around Singapore and have gotten used to living close to people.

They’re apparently a unique hybrid type of otter found nowhere else in the world, a natural cross that occurred between Asian small-clawed otters and smooth-coated otters. Which is really strange since the two different species are far less related than horses and donkeys, yet unlike mules they’re a self-sustaining fertile population. Not to mention they’re as utterly otterly different animals as otters get: Asian small-clawed otters are the smallest of the thirteen species of otter, have vestigial claws that fall off when they’re a few months old, have no webbing between their fingers (and just a little bit on their toes), and hunt for crabs and bugs with their fingers like raccoons; but smooth-coated otters are the fourth largest species, are powerful swimmers with all four paws webbed and clawed, and hunt swimming fish by sight and by feeling vibrations on their whiskers. It’s almost like plains zebras bred with black rhinoceros, and their offspring turned out to be perfectly suited to living peacefully in city parks.
