Until explicitly stated otherwise, the spell is just to make a guitar made out of items from the recycling bin acoustically viable. Spike’s just that talented a musician.

Also Spike’s sing and singing here was really good as well. I know a lot of people don’t look forward to it since well… the songs and his singing voice weren’t always the best to listen to. But hear it just sounds so right Nd innocent.
