Description
We’ve encountered zebras other than Zecora a grand total of twice, both in picture books. Season 8 would’ve been a great time to tell us more about zebras. How do their cutie marks work? Do they all make potions and speak in rhyme, or just Zecora?

and to those people who think shes a stereotype there morons that need to get a life
@neo4812
The controversies happened fairly early in the fandom (way back in season 1). Her debut episode, Over a Barrel, and Feeling Pinkie Keen were probably the more infamous episodes in the show’s earlier days along with the whole Derpygate fiasco in Season 2.
With Zecora some of the complaints had to do with her being similar to the Magical Negro stereotype. She’s mysterious, she comes from a faraway land, she lives in a hut by herself and does voodoo, she keeps a bunch of tribal masks, she talks weird and can only speak either in rhyme. There was also some controversy over having her speak fake African gibberish in one scene since she was originally intended to speak Swahili but the makers of the show couldn’t be bothered to translate anything and told the voice actress to just make something up on the spot. To some people, she is a walking stereotype.

I wouldn’t mind being proven wrong and seeing some stuff on the Zebras but my hopes for that happening are fairly thin.
I honestly never thought an episode would ship Spike better with Zecora than the mane 6.
I liked it.
Right, I remember now. Wow, that episode was forgettable other than, you know, winged Spike…
Way back during the first few years of the fandom there were a number of people who asked a few show runners whether or not Zecora was meant to represent African Americans. It got bad enough that Lauren came out and said that there are no races in the show. The only races that exists where are Unicorn, Pegasus, & Earth pony.
With that said there are very few people who have excepted this and most continue to see Zecora as minority representation.
What controversy? I never heard any?
Just an excuse for people to not give minor characters some spotlight.
Yes, but these dingbats are the ones who are loud enough to get the attention. They make a job out of being offended on behalf of minorities when said minorities are usually happy to see parts of their culture portrayed in some manner.
Heck, they whined and forced a censorship to smash bros so now Game and Watch no longer has a reference to native americans, because even heroic depictions of them is unwanted and “problematic”.

She’s in Molt Down
So, assuming that Equestria Girls could last as long as the original show, approximately within a ten-year span.
Ah, I see, though I don’t remember exactly that scene. Good to know…
she was in that ep about rockhoof not having a place in the modern world. she didn’t talk and it was only for 5 sec’s
Equestria Girls launched in 2013, and 2023 is 10 years later.
@LynksDisease
How did you know that it can last up to 2023?

She’s south east Swahili.
